Hello darlings!
As an incentive to join my mailing list (which you can find here!) I've released this cross-stitch pattern I designed as a gift for a friend's recent wedding. The pattern turned out so well and it's such a simple yet effective design I just had to share it so you can create your own.

The concept is that you embroider your cross stitch design and then place it in a picture frame, and when it's encased behind the glass/plastic you can then write on top of it. Ta da! Re-useable shopping list!
I got the idea from Pinterest so I'm definitely not the first one to have thought of it, but it is ingenious.

As stated on the pattern, the design is 108 x 157 stitches in 14 HPI (holes per inch) aida. The size of frame is a standard A4 size.
If you want to cut your fabric before cross-stitching onto it, make sure you cut it wider than you require as it will shrink a little after you've cross-stitched it.
It doesn't require a lot of embroidery floss (except maybe black), so I haven't included any colours or brands so you can use whatever you have in your stash.

I customised the pattern by adding some initials over the heart, and altered the frame too so all the accessories would be in one place.

Using a staple gun and craft wire, I constructed a pen holder to place the whiteboard pen in. I also stapled a bulldog clip to the back so some kind of cloth to wipe off the pen would be close at hand.

So that's my cross-stitch shopping list! If you try out this pattern please show me your results, I would love to see them.
